Justene Charlesworth

Facts

Justene has been involved with several family businesses her entire life, making her transition into the financial services industry a natural fit. She joined Charlesworth Financial Services after graduating in 2021 from the University of St. Francis with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Finance. She went on to earn her MBA from the University of St. Francis in 2022.

During the 2022–2023 basketball season, Justene returned to USF and completed a certificate in Data Analytics. While at USF, she was actively involved in the Accounting Club, Student Business Association, and consistently earned placement on the Dean’s List. From her sophomore through senior years, she interned with two accounting firms while living in Joliet, gaining hands-on experience in the accounting field.

Justene joined Avantax Investment Services℠ in 2022 after obtaining her Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (NASAA Uniform Combined State Law) licenses. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and works as a financial advisor, combining tax expertise with comprehensive financial planning to help clients make confident, informed decisions.

Family

Justene recently got engaged to her fiancé, Boston Tucker, who is a Pipefitter with Local 597. Her family has grown with the addition of Boston’s four dogs—beagles Coco and Pearl, and labs Avery and Rona—along with her feline family members, Nala and Simba.

Fun

Justene enjoys wakeboarding, traveling, jet skiing, bicycling, working out, and spending time outdoors with friends. She works part-time as a fitness instructor at Spenga. She volunteers at her church and serves on the Board of the Cheryl Lyn Welter Family Foundation, which supports underprivileged children. A former 10-year 4-H member, Justene also played five years of collegiate basketball for the University of St. Francis Fighting Saints and was a three-year starter.
